During this Uganda and Tanzania tour, you will visit Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Serengeti National park. We are however ready to customize your tour according to your needs, should you want to visit other national parks or tourism destinations in both countries, we shall adjust this safari according to your desired needs.
This tour can either start in Uganda or Tanzania, we shall provide you with the best airport pickup services. We assume that the tour has started in Uganda. You will be picked up from Entebbe International airport to your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe.
Day 1: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Early in the morning, our tour guide will visit your hotel to pick you up and either transfers you to Entebbe International airport such that you fly to Bwindi or you will be driven to Bwindi. The flight to Bwindi is approximately 1 hour while the drive to the park lasts for about 9 hours. We have excellent and comfortable 4×4 safari cars for tourists that take the road trip. During the road trip, you will have a stop at the Equator and later, continue your journey up to Bwindi. The western part of Uganda is covered with savannah vegetation and wonderful hills. Cattle keeping is among activities around the Ankole region. Upon arrival in Bwindi, you will be offered with excellent meals at the lodge. You will spend the rest of the day at the lodge
Day 2: Gorilla trekking
This is a wonderful day full of expectation. The day is marked as one of the highlights of this trip. Early in the morning, our tour guide will visit your lodge where you will be picked and transferred to the park headquarters. At the park headquarters, you will meet other tourists who will be trekking gorillas that day. You will be briefed about the gorilla trekking experience. And later, you will be teamed up in groups of eight tourists and each team will be allocated a particular gorilla group to trek. Afterwards, you will starting moving through the dense rainforest of Bwindi while looking out for the gorillas under the guidance of an armed park ranger. The park ranger will be aware of the previous location of the gorilla group and he/she will use that point as a starting location to know which direction the gorillas took. Using different marks left behind by the gorillas, the armed park can then ascertain the current location. Gorilla trekking usually takes around 1 to 8 hours, and you always stand 99% of seeing the gorillas. Upon seeing the gorillas, you will be allocated 1 hour to stay with the gorillas while enjoying their behaviors. The gorilla group is usually comprised of the silverback gorilla which is male and dominant gorilla which is the head of the group, females gorillas, juvenile gorillas and young ones. After the gorilla trekking experience, you will return to the park headquarter where you will be offered a gorilla trekking certificate and afterwards, you will be driven back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Return to Kampala
On this day, you will wake up in the morning, have breakfast and afterwards, you will be driven back to Kampala. You will arrive in Kampala and later drive to the hotel where you will spend the night.
Day 4: Entebbe to Kilimanjaro International airport
Early in the morning, you will be transferred to Entebbe International airport where you will take a flight to Kilimanjaro International airport. There are scheduled flights from Entebbe to Kilimanjaro International airport. The flight takes approximately 1 hour. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Arusha where you will have relaxing moment. It is possible to engage in the city tour.
Day 5: Transfer to Serengeti
It is possible to fly to Serengeti or drive to Serengeti. On this day, you will be transferred to Serengeti. The drive to Serengeti takes approximately 6 hours. Upon arrival, you will check in your lodge, have meals and later drive to the park for an amazing game viewing experience. Serengeti National Park is the home of the African big 5. Other species to witness in Serengeti include the wildebeest, elands, Topis, gazelles, zebra, hyena, cheetah, crocodiles, hippopotamus, giraffes, and others. You will have a wonderful game viewing experience. in the evening, you will witness the sunset and later, you will return to the lodge where you will be offered with wonderful meals.
Day 6: Full day game viewing
Serengeti National Park is home to the great wildebeest migration. The calving season happens around December to March and from April to July, the great wildebeest migration is around Serengeti. During this day, you will spend the entire day looking out for various wild behaviors. If you happen to travel around December to March, you will be driven to Southern Serengeti where you will witness the calving season of the wildebeest. During the calving season, thousands of wildebeests are born each day-about 8000 per day. For tourists that travel around April to July, you will look out for the great migration around the central Serengeti and Northern Serengeti. It will be a great experience to witness the great wildebeest migration in Serengeti. After this wonderful day, you will return to the lodge with marvelous memories of what you would have witnessed during the day.
Day 7: Morning game drive or hot-air balloon and return to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International airport
On this day, you will either engage in the morning game drive or you fly in a hot-air balloon while having aerial views of the park. Later, you will have breakfast and afterwards, you will be driven to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International airport. This will mark the end of this safari. If you want to extend this tour for more destinations or days, we shall make the necessary changes to fulfill your travel needs.
