3 day Uganda safari

The 3 day Uganda safari will take you to Uganda for a memorable experience. Uganda is among the top safari destinations in Africa. During the visit to Uganda, tourists have different activities that they can participate in. Some of the common activities include game viewing, gorilla trekking, chimpanzees trekking and cultural tours.

The country is home to various wildlife species which can be seen by visiting the parks and other reserves. Uganda hosts several wildlife species such as the African big 5- lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, and leopards plus many others such as zebras, giraffes, hyenas, cheetahs, gazelles, reedbucks, warthogs, bushbucks, Uganda kobs, antelopes, hartebeests, Topis, jackals, serval, caracals, hippopotamus, crocodiles, waterbucks, red colobus monkeys, white and black colobus monkeys, L’hoest monkeys, bat-eared foxes, African wild cats and many others.

During this tour, you will visit Bwindi Impenetrable National park, the home of Mountain gorillas. We are flexible enough according to the desires of our clients, should you want to customize your tour to a different national park, and we will make the arrangements to fulfill your travel plans.

During this tour, there is an option to fly to Bwindi or just take a road trip. Both luxury and budget lodges are available.

We will pick you up from the Entebbe International airport to your hotel

Day 1: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is situated along the south- western Uganda in Kanungu district. It takes approximately 9 hours to drive from Kampala to Bwindi however for tourists that opt to fly to the park, it only takes one hour to fly to Kihihi which is the nearest airstrip to the park.

If you plan to fly to the park, our tour guide will visit your hotel where you will be picked and transferred to Entebbe international airport such that you take a flight to Bwindi. For the road trip, the tour guide will drive you from Kampala to Bwindi.

The western side of Uganda is picturesque; you will pass by large cattle farms and banana plantation up to Bwindi.  You will make the stop at the Equator. Upon arrival in Bwindi, you will check in your lodge, enjoy meals and later, you will be served with dinner. This day will provide the needed relaxation which is necessary for the next day trip.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking day

This day is the highlight of this trip. Early in the morning, you will be driven to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about what to expect. After the briefing, you will be allocated a particular gorilla group which you will trek. After that, you will start trekking into the impenetrable forest under the company of an armed park ranger while looking out for gorillas.

Armed park rangers are very knowledgeable about gorilla trekking, the rangers can easily know the previous location of the particular gorilla group and using those identifiable signs left behind by the gorillas; the armed rangers will be able to interpret those signs to ascertain the current locations of the gorillas.

Trekking gorillas usually takes around 1-8 hours. Upon seeing the gorillas, you will stand a minimum of 10 meters away from them and you will be allocated 1 hour to witness their behaviors. A particular gorilla group usually contains the silverback, which is the male leader of the group; female gorillas and several juvenile gorillas.

It will be a great time to witness various wildlife species. You will forget about the hiking and simply enjoy the experience.

You will take as many photos as possible. After the experience, you will return to the park headquarters where you will meet the tour guide who will transfer you back to the lodge. It is a lifetime experience to watch the gorillas.

At the lodge, you will relax and enjoy the evening. Meals will be served.

Day 3: Return to Kampala

On this day, after breakfast, you will return to Kampala or you will be driven directly to Entebbe International airport. This will mark the end of this wonderful experience.
